Vancouver, B.C. visit
So while we were up in Washington we were able to get in a great visit with Wes' sister and her husband in Canada. They only live about 45 mins from my brothers. So Chris and Ali came and picked us up and took us all around Vancouver showing us their city! We crammed alot in the 2 days we were up there, but it was worth it. We had a blast! The weather again wasn't the greatest, but we made the best of it. Summers there sounds wonderful. They took us to some beaches that they picnic at, we went to the aquarium, saw the sea wall where they rent bikes and bike the trail, took us all on the sky train and sea bus (kids were excited about those). We saw Lynn Valley with beautiful waterfalls and a suspension bridge. We even saw fresh bear tracks!! Scarry, but really cool!! I saw my first Celebrity in the city!!!! I was all dissing Tom Cruise after they told us he was up there shooting Mission Impossible 4 and then I was star struck when I saw him! hahaha, it was so fun :) Check out some pic's below. The first couple are when we first got there, they took us to a beach where they go alot, has a great view of the city.
With Aunt Ali and Uncle Chris :)
Ok...so here is the set for some scenes they were shooting for the movie. They were making it look like Seattle. Seattle Symphony banners on the lights, even and American flag in the back. They even shut down part of the bridge back there and lined it with Semi's with HUGE spot lights on them to shine down! Crazy how much work goes into movies!! It was so cool. All that uplighting on the bridge usually isn't there either. And then out came Tom when they were getting close to starting to film. I only got a couple pic's before he came out and then I had to put away my camera so I didn't get any of him...darn! Can't wait to see the movie now and look for this in there.
The next couple are some flowers at Ali's apartment. She is a floral designer so she always has fresh flowers around. I miss that!
Crossing the suspension bridge was Awesome! Wes was having a heart attack, but he conquered his fear by getting across it.
